Questions about paid search
How much should I spend on Google Ads?
Start from the maths, not a benchmark. Take your average order value, close rate and target cost per acquisition, and work backwards to a cost per click you can afford. In most local service categories that lands between $1,500 and $10,000 per month in media. If the numbers do not work at any realistic click cost, we will say so rather than sell you a campaign.
What do you charge to manage paid search?
Management is typically 12 to 18% of media spend, with a monthly minimum, or a flat retainer for smaller accounts. It is quoted separately from media so you always know what you are paying for management versus what is reaching the auction.
Who owns the Google Ads account?
You do. We work inside your account under manager access. If we part ways, you keep every campaign, keyword, conversion action and historical data point. Agencies that run your ads inside their own account are holding your history hostage.
Is Performance Max worth running?
Often yes, but only with proper guardrails: brand exclusions, audience signals, clean conversion values and asset group discipline. Run without those, it tends to harvest conversions you would have got anyway and report them as new. We test it against a controlled search campaign before committing budget.
How quickly will I see results from paid search?
Traffic is immediate. Reliable data takes 2 to 4 weeks, and smart bidding usually needs 30 days and around 30 conversions to stabilise. We resist making major changes inside the first fortnight because it resets the learning.
Do you handle Microsoft and Bing Ads too?
Yes, and it is frequently overlooked. Microsoft Advertising often delivers 20 to 40% lower cost per click in B2B and older-demographic categories. We are a Microsoft Advertising Select partner and import and adapt campaigns rather than just mirroring them.
